Striker Michael Drennan has returned to Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal from Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old scored three times in 10 appearances for the League Two club during a previous loan spell at the back end of last season. He scored on his debut in a 5-1 loss to Scunthorpe last February before grabbing a brace in a 4-1 triumph at Dagenham in April. "Michael was with us last season, so knows how we work here," manager Andy Awford told the club's official website. "He also knows where the back of the net is, so we're delighted to welcome him back to Pompey."
