Colchester boss Tony Humes is looking forward to watching defender Kane Vincent-Young develop after handing him a one-year deal.

The former Tottenham full-back, 18, had been on trial with the U's and played the full 90 minutes in the 2-2 under-21 draw with Coventry on Tuesday afternoon. "Kane has signed a one-year development contract with us," Humes told the club's official website. "It allows us to keep him at the club and watch his progress over that time and we have plenty of games in the under-21s for him to develop."
