Crewe have doubts over duo

Crewe have early concerns over the fitness of Adam Dugdale and Febian Brandy ahead of Saturday's League One visit of Colchester.

Defender Dugdale missed Alex's 6-1 weekend thrashing at MK Dons due to a chest infection, while new loan signing Brandy finished that match with calf problems. Manager Steve Davis told the club website: "Duggy was ruled out with illness and he wasn't well enough to play, so we will have to assess how he is feeling this week. We have had a bit of a virus around the place over the last couple of weeks. "Febian did bring a bit of life to the game on Saturday by getting into those little pockets of space. He showed us some glimpses of his ability and it will be good to have a full week to work with him. "He was complaining of having tight calves and that restricted him. He didn't look like he could explode and use his pace."
