Swindon's youngsters should use Louis Thompson as their role model, says boss Mark Cooper.
The 19-year-old Welsh midfielder left to join Championship side Norwich on transfer deadline day before being loaned back to the Robins for the rest of the season. And Cooper, who prides himself on promoting and playing the youngsters, says it is a lesson to the next generation of Swindon academy products. "For Louis it just shows what can happen," he told the Gazette and Herald. "He's come through the academy and he's joined a big club in Norwich. "It just goes to show our young players - the 15-year-olds, the 16-year-olds - what they can achieve, with, in Louis' case, pure hard work, determination, coupled with ability. Without that determination and hard work the ability doesn't work, so he deserves everything he gets."
