Reaction from the Burton camp to their win over Portsmouth

Gary Rowett has no intention of letting his Burton players rest on their laurels after their excellent start to the season.

A 2-0 win against Portsmouth at Pirelli Stadium gave the Brewers 16 points out of 18 in League Two and they have also overcome Championship outfit Wigan and Premier League QPR in the Capital One Cup. Rowett's side have a rare midweek break before entertaining York next Saturday, but there is little chance of Albion being allowed to take it easy. "Recovery is going to be important, but working is also going to be important," Rowett told Brewers Player. "Although the week is effectively only six days long for us because we played on Sunday, I think it's important that we still work." Reflecting on a fantastic start to the campaign, he added: "I believed that this team was capable of doing something like this and the big thing for us now is just to maintain the work rate. "I'm sure we won't win seven out of every eight, but the more we can maintain the way we work to overcome any obstacles that come our way, then we'll have half a chance. Confidence is high and it doesn't matter who we are playing at the moment, I think we'll give them a game."
