Bristol City are aiming for promotion this season, admits new signing Luke Freeman.
The Robins are one of the frontrunners with the bookmakers to lift the League One title come May despite finishing in the lower half of the table last season, and their summer acquisition from Stevenage is positive about their chances. "The aim for us is promotion, without a shadow of a doubt," Freeman told the Bristol Evening Post. "We have to take things step-by-step, but going up to the Championship is definitely the target over the long run. "We have had a very good few weeks of pre-season and are all edging closer to the standards we are looking to set when the competitive games get under way. "Getting back to somewhere near peak physical fitness has been a slow process, but now I can't wait for the season to start and that is how everybody in the squad feels."
