Awford: Still work to do

Andy Awford claimed Portsmouth have a lot of work still to do after watching his side slip to a 3-2 defeat at home to Bournemouth.

The home side conceded three first-half goals before restoring some pride in the second period through goals from James Dunne and Jed Wallace, but Awford was critical of his team. "We played quite well in patches during the first half - it was just the decision-making that let us down," he told the club's website. "But the second half was better because we made better decisions throughout the whole team. "Pre-season friendlies are all about learning and there are things for us to work on."
