Dagenham's new arrival Joss Labadie is "buzzing" after signing a one-year deal with the club.

The midfielder signed on a free transfer on Tuesday after his release from Torquay and is excited to be at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium. He told the club's official website: "I'm buzzing to have signed and I can't wait to get started. "I enjoyed my time on the pitch (on Tuesday), it's been a while since I've played some football. "I met with (Daggers manager) Wayne Burnett a few weeks ago and as soon as I spoke to him I knew this was where I wanted to be. It's a club on the up and I wanted to part of that." Labadie made 30 appearances for Torquay in all competitions last season, scoring twice, and believes he has what it takes to challenge for a place in the team. He added: "All of the players in midfield are good players so hopefully I can keep them on their toes and push for the starting line-up."
