Port Vale have confirmed that Robert Page has been named the club's new assistant manager.

Page has been promoted to work alongside boss Micky Adams, a position previously held by Mark Grew who moves on to become goalkeeping coach and scouting co-ordinator. Adams told the club's official website: "I want to thank Mark for his time as assistant manager at the club for the past two years, he has been a brilliant ally to me over this period. "When George Foster left his scouting role it left a gap that we needed to fill, and I feel that Mark is the right person to co-ordinate all our scouts throughout the country and also continuing his excellent work with our current crop of goalkeepers. "I'd like to stress that this isn't a demotion but a switch of roles for a great friend of mine." "Rob Page has done an excellent job on the training ground and I feel that this is the next progression in his career path."
