Morecambe have confirmed that defender Tony Diagne has left the club to join non-league Lincoln.
The 23-year-old returns to the Imps to work with his former boss Gary Simpson, who he worked with at Macclesfield, after he was placed on the transfer list towards the end of last season. He made 31 appearances for the Shrimps. Speaking to the club's official website manager Jim Bentley said: "Sometime you have to make tough decisions and that was definitely the case with Tony last season. "He is a great lad and we really do wish him well for the future."
