New Preston signing Kyel Reid has revealed that he is excited to be working with manager Simon Grayson again.

Reid suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury last season and is nearing a return to full fitness. And he is grateful for the faith shown in him by Grayson and Glynn Snodin to take the gamble and sign him up. Reid told the club's official website: "I'm more than happy to finally get it over the line and pleased that the medical was passed and I'm just looking forward to working with Simon and Snods now and Preston and hopefully doing my extra bit to help them get promotion." "Snods and the gaffer are people that I've worked with before, so they know me really well and I know them really well, so when the offer came up from them it was a no brainer for me because of the relationship that I already have with them. "I was just pleased that they had that interest even though I'm not fully fit at the moment, I'm not at 100 per cent but I'm not far off and they have still shown that interest which is something I am grateful for." The 26-year-old added: "Coming up to see the people at the club and see the gaffer and Snods and have a look at the training ground and facilities and everything, everything is there and it's like a Championship club with all of the facilities and how well the club is run so it wasn't hard for me to make that decision and make the switch." Reid joined on a two-year contract from Bradford after a spell of three season at Valley Parade, which included two Wembley finals.
