Wolves have been warned about the conduct of their fans following repeated pitch invasions during the 6-4 win over Rotherham.
The clash, which was the first game at Molineux since Kenny Jackett's men clinched promotion, saw fans spill onto the pitch on a number of occasions in the dying minutes and the referee considered abandoning the match at one stage. But the FA decided against handing out a fine to Wolves, much to the relief of club secretary Richard Skirrow who also confirmed that four supporters have now been banned. "We're pleased and grateful to the FA that we have avoided a fine for the scenes at the end of the Rotherham game but understandably we have been warned regarding the possibility of "further reports of supporter misconduct"," he told the club's official website. "We made the point that those who did enter the playing area were criticised at the time by the vast majority of other supporters and that the club not only strongly condemned their actions in a post-match statement, but then took a number of measures to try and prevent a recurrence at the final home game versus Carlisle. "I'm sure that the fact that there were no problems at that final fixture was taken into account. "Four individuals that were already on a "good behaviour" order following a previous breach of ground regulations were identified as being amongst those supporters who came on to the pitch and they have now been banned. "It is important that supporters appreciate that there are implications for the club in any misconduct matter and we need their help in complying with ground regulations and a key regulation amongst those is to stay off the pitch."
