Robins swoop for Hall

Cheltenham have landed midfielder Asa Hall on a two-year contract following his release by Shrewsbury.

The 27-year-old will stay at Whaddon Road until the summer of 2016, having left the Shrews at the end of the season. "I'm really pleased to be here," Hall told the club's official website. "I've played here before, I like Cheltenham and I have always admired the gaffer (Mark Yates). I know a few players that have played under him and it was just a great opportunity and I really wanted to join. "Hopefully I can bring some experience and some goals as well. I know a few of the lads so hopefully we can bring the squad together and have a real go at it." Hall's arrival in Gloucestershire off-sets the loss of goalkeeper Scott Brown, who joined Aberdeen earlier in the day.
