Rotherham winger Nicky Adams has signed for Bury for an undisclosed fee just four months into a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The 27-year-old, who is ruled out of the Millers' play-off campaign with a calf injury, only signed on at New York on transfer deadline day in January for a fee in the region of £80,000. But he returns to the club where he started off in the game, signing a three-year deal at Gigg Lane. Millers chief operating officer Paul Douglas told the club's official website: "Once it became clear that Nicky's current injury would keep him out for the rest of our season, the club decided to accept a bid from Bury which gives us a substantial profit on our outlay for Nicky when we signed him in January. "Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank Nicky for his contribution to the campaign this season and wish him well for the future." Adams, who joined from Crawley, made 15 appearances for the Millers, scoring one goal. He spent three years at the Shakers between 2005 and 2008 and still lives in the north west.
