Hartlepool United defender Jordan Richards has committed his future to the League Two side.

Pools had the option to keep the academy graduate at Victoria Park for one more season but have instead decided to offer the 21-year-old a longer deal. Richards, who has played 21 times in all competitions for the club this campaign, is thrilled to put pen to paper on a new contract. He told the club's official website: "I am absolutely delighted with the new deal and to be here next season. "I couldn't wait to sign the contract and get it all sorted out so now I just want to work as hard as I can, keep enjoying it and play more games for the club."
