Ainsworth targets home comforts

Gareth Ainsworth has called on Wycombe to make home advantage count when they face relegation rivals Northampton on Good Friday.

The two sides are level on points, with the Chairboys sitting 22nd by virtue of a better goal difference, and Ainsworth thinks his side's home form could be a crucial factor in survival. He told the club's official website: "We'll be working hard on what we do at home, because at home we've been decent lately and that's the advantage we've got. "They've beaten Burton, which is a good scalp, so we're going to have to be at it to get anything out of the game. "It was always going to be a big game but now it's huge. It's the biggest game of my managerial career and I'm sure it'll be the biggest game of some of the players' careers." Ainsworth added: "If we lose against Northampton we'll go into the relegation places and that's a simple fact. It's 'stand up and be counted' time and I'll be looking at that in training this week."
