Rotherham manager Steve Evans is not concerned if teams try to shut his side out in their forthcoming play-off campaign.
The Millers, who are in fourth position and assured of a place in the top six, are the joint-top scorers in the Football League, but have drawn a blank in their last two games against Sheffield United and Bradford, with both sides flooding the midfield and putting men behind the ball. While they were not at their best in the clash against the Blades, it was a dominant display against a particularly unadventurous Bantams outfit and only a host of missed chances cost the Millers the win in a 0-0 draw. Bradford's 4-5-1 formation could give opposing managers an insight into how to nullify the Millers, but Evans believes his men have got enough to prevail. "If we play like that in the play-offs, it might not win matches for us but we will take whatever comes because we were terrific," he said after the Bantams game. "Playing 4-5-1 with 11 men behind the ball and setting up to defend is not the way we play, but it takes all types to win a game of football. "Who's to say we are not going to score, who's to say we are not going to get the penalties, who's to say if we score early teams won't have to be more creative." It looks as if the end-of-season showpiece will be contested between the Millers, Leyton Orient, Preston and Peterborough and Evans is shifting the pressure away from his team. "We'll be the vast underdogs when the bookmakers do their odds, because Preston and Leyton Orient will be favourites," he added. "We will expect to have a good campaign, but Simon Grayson is well known for preparing a side to do well in the play-offs and Leyton Orient are a very good team. We are the underdogs, we are the little one in the pile that people don't think should be there."
