Home comforts for Derry

Notts County manager Shaun Derry admits their 3-1 defeat at Brentford was a setback in their bid to avoid relegation.

However, the Magpies boss believes it will be home results that determine whether or not their battle for League One survival is a successful one. Saturday's 3-1 loss to the title-chasing Bees at Griffin Park saw Notts slip back into the relegation places. Derry's men have five games to save themselves with three of them at Meadow Lane, where they have won their last two matches. Following the loss to Brentford, Derry said: "It's a setback, but that's all it is. I knew coming into the game what was going to determine our season. "We would have had to play exceptionally well and hoped Brentford had an off day because, for me, they are the best team in the league. "It's going to be the home games which determine what happens from now until the end of the season."
