Evatt eyes more Wembley success

Ian Evatt admits a win with Chesterfield in the JPT final would rank alongside his promotions to the Premier League with Blackpool.

The central defender was part of the Seasiders team that won promotion to the top flight via the Championship play-off final in both 2010 and 2012. He was also with Blackpool when they were promoted from League One through the play-offs in 2007. Sunday will be the 32-year-old's fourth trip to Wembley, as Chesterfield look to win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for the second time in three years following their success in 2012. Evatt, who returned to the club for a second spell in the summer after his release by Blackpool, admits victory over Peterborough would definitely become one of his career highlights. "Everybody knows this club means a lot to me," said the Spireites captain. "I love the area, I married a local girl, and people were always great with me when I came back after I'd left, the fans. That was a big reason in my decision to come back and play here. "So to win something with this club would be special for me, and to do it at Wembley would make it extra special. It would be right up there with what we achieved at Blackpool in terms of how I'd feel." If Evatt does get to lift the trophy he revealed his family will not be there to see him do it. "This will be my fourth time at Wembley and they are getting bored of it now," he said. "It costs them too much money so they won't come any more. "But it is still something to be proud of. To play at Wembley again is a great achievement for any player, some players go through their entire careers and don't get to do it, and hopefully we can go there and pick the trophy up."
