Derry keeping feet on ground

Shaun Derry is not getting carried away despite Notts County grabbing their second consecutive win to move off the bottom of the table.

Ronan Murray's brace and a Gary Liddle opener helped Notts complete a double over Crewe as they cruised to a 3-1 victory at Gresty Road, with Mark Ellis striking a late consolation for the Railwaymen. Derry said: "I'm not tempting fate and I'm not getting carried away as we are going to have to produce seven performances like that between now and the end of the season. "We've got a completely different outlook now and I feel the mentality of the side has changed. I asked my players to produce a performance similar to last Saturday when we beat Carlisle (4-1) and they delivered. "The players are giving me a headache now over my selection. Ronan has been fantastic since I took over apart from a mad five minutes but he has redeemed himself in the last two games and you can see he loves playing for Notts County."
