Yates singles out Harrison

Mark Yates praised the finishing of Byron Harrison after he came off the bench to help Cheltenham claim a 1-1 draw against Wycombe.

The former AFC Wimbledon striker has been struggling with an ankle injury and the Robins boss is now looking forward to having him play a full 90 minutes. "It was a great goal," said Yates. "We had been talking about getting balls in the box and it was a great finish from Byron. "Sido Jombati delivered a great cross and it was nice to see Byron put it in the net. He is not 100 per cent at the minute and we wanted him to come on and make an impact. He made a big impact on Saturday and we knew he would again. "He is always going to give us a boost because he is a big player for us. Hopefully he has a chance of being ready for Saturday." Harrison headed his side into a 68th-minute lead but Wycombe levelled from the penalty spot 11 minutes from time. Yates added: "Once we were 1-0 up we should have been winning the game but unfortunately we haven't. We were probably in our purple patch when they scored so it's disappointing. "It was bumpy and bobbly and not pretty but the effort was there. There were plenty of good things but we've just not seen it out. But that's five games unbeaten."
