MK Dons have allowed midfielder Luke Chadwick to join non-league side Cambridge on loan until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old is a boyhood U's fan and was keen to turn out for the club before the end of his career. Dons manager Karl Robinson told the club's official website: "Me and Chaddy had a long discussion about his future. "He doesn't want to let the chairman, the fans or me down but he said that while he's still got the legs he wants to fulfil his dream, which is to play for Cambridge United. "It's a decision we've come to with him and his family. "He can go there and help their promotion campaign and if he can get his boyhood club into the Football League via Wembley, I know it would be a dream come true for him and I can't stand in the way." Chadwick is expected to feature in Cambridge's clash with Welling on Tuesday night.
