Johnson needs new additions

Lee Johnson is desperate to bring in reinforcements after Oldham sunk deeper into relegation trouble after a 2-0 loss to Rotherham.

Goals from Mark Bradley and Lee Frecklington kept the Millers firmly on course for a play-off spot and condemned Oldham to a third consecutive home defeat. Johnson said: "Our squad was depleted and it showed - we were physically weaker than Rotherham. "The endeavour was there and the lads kept going, but there's no doubt we need some help with the squad. "Their centre-backs were dominant against us and we didn't have the personnel to change it, so I'll be trying to sign two or three players. "I'm disappointed with what happened, but I'm not shocked. You can get away with two or three players being physically weak, but not seven or eight. "I'll try to get us some help before Saturday and we have to go into a big game at Crewe with some renewed vigour. "I've been disappointed with a couple of players who've been given contracts and haven't produced, but that's my fault on the recruitment front. "This is my toughest time (as manager), but I've spent the majority of my career winning things and I know what it takes. "We've got 10 games left and it's make or break for some of the players. That's not a threat, it's a fact of life, because being released after a relegation doesn't look good."
