Carlisle United have signed defender James Pearson on loan from Championship club Leicester.
Pearson, part of the development squad at the Championship club, will remain with the Cumbrians for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old has impressed with his performances at right-back for the Foxes Under-21 side this term, but he can also play as a centre-back. Pearson will hope to make his Football League debut for Carlisle when they travel to FA Cup semi-finalists Sheffield United in Sky Bet League One on Wednesday evening.
