Gregory: We should have won

Crawley manager John Gregory was left frustrated following his side's 1-1 draw with League One strugglers Stevenage.

The hosts looked to have suffered their first defeat in seven matches when Bira Dembele's first-half header gave Stevenage the lead. Matt Tubbs then missed a penalty with 15 minutes to play, but the in-form Town striker made amends in injury time when he beat Boro keeper Chris Day with a confident finish. Yet despite narrowly avoiding defeat, Gregory was disappointed his side failed to secure the three points. "They had to camp in their own penalty box for the last 40 minutes of the second half and we went on to miss chance after chance," he said. "We should've won 5-1 without any question but we didn't and fortunately we got away with the point. "Our lads kept going, that's the spirit that these boys have got and you can never write them off, and it was certainly no more than what we deserved at the end."
