Fleetwood Town defender Stephen Jordan is one of four nominations for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month Award for November.

The 32-year-old former Manchester City trainee has been part of a tight defence that has conceded just two goals from four league fixtures during the month.

The athletic Jordan is always in the right place, is an excellent reader of the game and has helped his club move to within five points of a play-off spot.

The shortlist is made up by Bristol City’s Aden Flint, Carl Baker of MK Dons and Scunthorpe’s Paddy Madden.

Flint is a real leader in a defence that has fashioned two clean sheets, while conceding just two goals during the month.

He is commanding in the air, strong in the tackle and always a threat at set pieces.

Midfielder Baker, meanwhile, has been a major influence for MK Dons despite not being fully fit.

At his best when running at defenders, the 31-year-old netted the winner against Port Vale on November 22, while providing two assists in last weekend’s 6-0 demolition of Colchester United.

The fourth nomination, striker Madden, grabbed three goals in three games the best being a poacher’s effort against Barnsley which took his tally for the season in all competitions to nine.

The winner will be announced on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning.
