Karl Robinson insists he is going nowhere after MK Dons came from behind to beat Fleetwood 2-1 thanks to a late Benik Afobe penalty.

It was a deserved victory for the Dons, who lifted themselves up to fourth in League One, at the end of a day in which the club rejected an approach for Robinson from Championship side Birmingham City. Robinson said: "I believe there's been an approach but it's not something for me to get involved in. "One thing I can say is that it's come as a shock and I think everyone has conducted themselves wonderfully well. "I don't know it's got out but it's something that has got out into the public domain although my agent found out about it by reading it. "It's happened and the chairman said no and we move on - I'm flattered by their approach but I'm just as flattered by the chairman's response. "I thought the boys were magnificent and I said to them at half-time at 0-0 these are special nights, these are nights that determine who you are as an individual. "I think we've shown how good were are against a very good side who I think were top for the first four games of the season and who've got some good players." Fleetwood went ahead against the run of play when Gareth Evans' long pass picked out David Ball, who chipped the ball sweetly over David Martin. MK Dons equalised after an hour when Ben Reeves laid the ball off for Kyle McFadzean, whose shot arrowed into the net. The Dons secured the win with six minutes left after Samir Carruthers was felled by Stephen Crainey in the box and Afobe calmly rolled in his penalty. Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander said: "We started the game well and created a few openings but Milton Keynes gradually got hold of the game. "We got to half-time and it was about keeping our discipline and our defensive shape and I feel we did that. "We then took the lead and we were looking at either building on that or seeing it out and unfortunately we didn't. "There were bodies on the line at times and that's what it takes because we're going to be tested at times this season, especially when you come away from home to big clubs like this. "We can't just talk about the penalty that's gone against us because we can't control officials of referees. "What we have to do is improve things we can control and we could have definitely shut down the space quicker for their first goal, which I think took a deflection and it got them back in the game."
