Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale expects further outgoing transfer movement this week after Adam Barton left to Coventry.

Barton was one of six players training separately from the rest of the League One side's first-team squad after being told he did not figure in manager Graham Westley's plans. And now the club are hoping the futures of the other out-of-favour players - Keammar Daley, Iain Hume, Danny Mayor, Jamie Proctor and Craig Morgan - can be concluded swiftly so space on the wage bill for incoming signings can be created. Ridsdale told the Lancashire Evening Post: "Adam has gone to Coventry and we are still in discussions with a number of clubs with regards to the five other players who are available."
