Defender Stephen Jordan has had his contract at Rochdale terminated by mutual consent ahead of the upcoming season.

The 30-year-old joined the club last season, making 19 appearances as Dale were relegated from League One. Jordan, who started his career at Manchester City, has also enjoyed spells with Sheffield United and Burnley. A club statement said: "We would like to thank Stephen for his services to the club, and wish him every success in the future."
