Sky Sports understands Leicester and Cardiff are amongst the clubs vying for Fleetwood's £1 million-rated striker Jamie Vardy.
The 24-year-old spearheaded the Lancashire club's assault on the Conference which saw them win the title this term.
His 34 goals in just 40 appearances have made him one of the most in-demand strikers on the market.
Fleetwood reportedly rejected bids from Southampton, Blackpool and Leicester for their goal machine in January, but his sale now looks inevitable.
Leicester have again come back in for the striker but they will face stiff competition from the Bluebirds for the free-scoring marksman.
