Schumi knocking on Barker's door

Bury captain Steven Schumacher will be pestering manager Richie Barker for a recall to the starting XI when they travel to Leyton Orient.

The midfielder has not started a league game since the Shakers' opening fixture back in August after tearing a calf muscle. But he is pushing for a recall to Barker's starting line-up and is relishing the prospect of going up against Orient's current skipper and former Bury midfielder Stephen Dawson. Schumacher told the Manchester Evening News: "I'd love that one. I'm going to be in the gaffer's ear all week. "It's a hard place to go any time, their fans get right behind them and they're a tough team to play against. "They've won their last two but so have we so we're both going to be up for it."
