Bristol Rovers have completed the signing of Jeff Hughes from Crystal Palace on a three-year contract.
The Northern Ireland international arrives at the Memorial Stadium for an undisclosed fee in excess of £100,000 - just a year after he moved to Selhurst Park from Lincoln.
Hughes, 23, initially joined Rovers on loan at the end of March but suffered an ankle ligament injury just 30 minutes into his first appearance for the club in a reserve-team match against Cheltenham and was forced to return to Selhurst Park to receive treatment.
Rovers director of football Lennie Lawrence was delighted to tie up a permanent move for the versatile performer.
"We are delighted to bring to an end the pursuit of Jeff Hughes," Lawrence told the club's official website.
Long-term target"We have been after hims for six months and he has now signed a deal with us. He is a quality addition to the squad, who can play at left midfield or left-back.
"We think we have secured a player with Championship potential, and Palace must agree as they paid double what we have for him just a year ago."
