Worthington proud of run

Nigel Worthington praised York as they stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games following a 0-0 draw with play-off rivals Burton.

The Minstermen had limited chances throughout the 90 minutes with Michael Coulson going closest to breaking the deadlock in the seventh minute as Lee Bell blocked his goal-bound effort. Despite gaining a point, Worthington's side have slipped out of the League Two play-offs but he believes the draw has shown how far his side have progressed in recent months. "I'm delighted with the point, it was a good honest game and neither side wanted to give anything," he said. "We've managed to get a clean sheet again and there were a few half chances in the game. The work rate from the players was phenomenal, we've got to keep going over the next six games to see where it gets us. "Burton were up towards the top of the league last season and they are there once again this campaign. To compete like that against them twice this season is a little marker for how far we've come in a short space of time. "I would have loved three points and we set our stall out from the start by starting Ryan Brobbel. Credit to Burton as they didn't want to give anything either as they're fighting for a play-off place."
