Chesterfield chief not worrying about missing out on midfielder

John Sheridan insists he will 'not lose any sleep' over Lewis Montrose's decision to join Wycombe Wanderers ahead of Chesterfield. Montrose enjoyed a loan spell at Chesterfield last season and was expected to join the League Two club when his Wigan Athletic contract expired. However, the 20-year-old has turned down a return to Saltergate in favour of signing a two-year contract with League One new boys Wycombe. Sheridan is disappointed by Montrose's decision, but the new Spireites boss will not dwell on missing out on a potential new signing. "Although I am disappointed with Lewis'decision I only want players who wish to play 100% for Chesterfield," Sheridan told the club's official website. "Clearly that is not the case here, so I'm not losing any sleep over it and we quickly move on."
