Former Ross County manager Derek Adams believes his record in Scotland has earned him a crack of the whip south of the border.

Adams led the Staggies to the top tier in Scotland in two separate spells in charge at Dingwall while also taking them to the Scottish Cup final in 2010. He left his position in August after three successful Scottish Premiership campaigns, but is ready to get back into the dugout and has targeted a role in English football. "I've had a break and I'm ready to get back," Adams said. "I'm waiting for the right opportunity to come up, I have put my name in for one of the jobs in England. My record speaks for itself." Adams, 39, has been linked with the vacant managerial position at League One Notts County following Monday's sacking of Shaun Derry while he is also believed to be attracting the interest of Millwall.
