Terry Dunfield is one of two players heading for the Shrewsbury Town exit door with a view to moving to a bigger club.
The 28-year-old has recently received his first cap with the Canadian national team in a friendly against Venezuela, with head coach Stephen Hart rumoured to have told the player he should be playing at a higher level.
The departure of the former Manchester City trainee will come as a big blow to the Shropshire club, who had seen Dunfield become a key figure in his two seasons.
The Shrews have also been hit with the news that defender Kelvin Langmead is to depart, with Peterborough expected to be his destination, where he will join up with top scorer Dave Hibbert at London Road.
The 25-year-old won the club's players' player of the year award last season, but seems set to move on to bigger things despite the Shrews' attempts to keep the centre-back.

Manager Graham Turner was clearly unhappy at seeing two of his key players leave, but insisted that they would move on from their departure and bring in staff committed to the club.
"The game is hard enough when players want to play for you, when they don't, get them out as quickly as possible," Turner told the club's
official website.
"I want players who are committed to the cause here and are prepared to devote their time and energies to bringing some long-awaited success to the club.
"Both players had to go. Replacements will be signed who want to be part of life at the Greenhous Meadow."
