PL Team of the Week

Sky Sports casts an eye over the leading performers from the latest round of Premier League action.

Team of the week

John Ruddy - Norwich City
The goalkeeper was back to his best in his club's win over Manchester United on Saturday evening. Among a host of good stops, one Ruddy save from team-mate Sebastien Bassong in the closing minutes maintained Norwich's lead and ensured a famous victory.
Angel Rangel - Swansea City
Swansea City's right-back put in another excellent display which maintained Michael Laudrup's side's upturn in form. After a wobble in late September and early October, the win at Newcastle United was the latest impressive result for Swansea.
Sean Morrison - Reading
Everton were stunned at the Madejski Stadium over the weekend as David Moyes' high-flying side became the first to lose to Reading in the Premier League this season. Morrison was a rock at the back, producing some excellent last-ditch stops.
James Tomkins - West Ham United
For the second week in succession, the centre-back was among the best performers in the Premier League. Tomkins contributed a dedicated and diligent display at the back for the Hammers, working hard to help inspire their comeback against Stoke City on Monday night.
Jose Enrique - Liverpool
Like Tomkins, the Spaniard also makes our best Premier League team for the second week in a row. The left-back has returned to form over recent weeks and he assisted and scored - his first for his club - a goal in Liverpool's 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic.
Raheem Sterling - Liverpool
The Liverpool teenager has been one of the stars of the season and he followed his England debut with another positive performance in helping set up Luis Suarez's opener against Wigan. A nasty clash which fractured Ben Watson's shin was accidental.
David Silva - Manchester City
City's mercurial playmaker demonstrated exactly what the defending champions have been missing during his injury absence. Silva opened the scoring in the thrashing of Aston Villa and pulled the strings in midfield throughout.
Santi Cazorla - Arsenal
Adding to the Spanish flavour to this week's team, Cazorla delivered a masterclass in Arsenal's North London derby win over 10-man Tottenham Hotspur. The midfielder scored and created goals in his side's 5-2 victory.
Jason Puncheon - Southampton
Southampton won their basement battle with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday and Puncheon was a key element. He was in unstoppable form as the Saints exposed their hosts' defensive deficiencies and scored the second goal in a 3-1 success.
Shane Long - West Bromwich Albion
West Brom have had a dream start to the season and their latest victims were defending European champions Chelsea. Long was at the heart of his side's 2-1 win at The Hawthorns on Saturday, producing a typically energetic performance and scoring the opening goal.
Adam Le Fondre - Reading
The Reading striker brought about Everton's downfall at the weekend, scoring both goals in the second half, including one penalty. He never stopped and got his rewards by claiming the headlines in a memorable win at the Madejski Stadium.
