Romania striker willing to consider options if not required

Adrian Mutu's agent says the striker would leave Fiorentina this summer if he was not wanted by the club. The Romania marksman has endured a chequered career and it had been thought he would leave the Viola in January. Mutu walked out of training and was on the verge of a move to Cesena before he was welcomed back into the side. Fresh question marks have been raised this summer over his future, although agent Pietro Chiodi says his client loves the club. However, should Fiorentina want to press ahead without the 32-year-old, he would move on to pastures new.

Relationship

"Adrian loves the city and Fiorentina, and then he doesn't want to be a hindrance to the Viola's project," Chiodi told Radio Blu. "When he comes back from vacation, we will sit at the negotiating table and evaluate all potential opportunities. "We have a beautiful relationship with Fiorentina and all the rumors about him are unfounded, because we cannot talk to other clubs, if Fiorentina don't move first. "Mutu would like to stay but if (Fiorentina's sporting director, Pantaleo) Corvino and the leadership decided not to bet on him he won't be against leaving."
