Augsburg goalkeeper Simon Jentzsch has been ruled out until the New Year after suffering a new finger injury.

The 36-year-old has spent two lengthy periods on the sidelines with similar problems in the past 12 months and is now again unavailable.

Jentzsch has been left to rue his luck and is focused on returning to action as soon as possible in 2013.

He told Kicker: "It's a freak, bitter blow for me. But I see the most important thing for me is to return to full fitness and health.

"I will be out until the end of the calendar year."

Meanwhile, Augsburg general manager Jurgen Rollmann feels there is no need to discuss the job security of first-team boss Markus Weinzierl despite the club sitting bottom of the Bundesliga in the wake of Saturday's defeat by Borussia Dortmund.

Rollmann told Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper: "You could maybe feel it's time to question the manager if the team had lost 9-0 without any fight or resistance.

"But after a performance like this (against Dortmund), there is no use to question the future of a manager."
