FC Augsburg have signed French forward Giovanni Sio on a season-long loan from Bundesliga rivals Vfl Wolfsburg.
The 23-year-old forward joined Wolfsburg in January from FC Sion on a three- and-a-half-year deal for a fee that could be worth up to £4.5million.
Sio, who played nine games for Wolfsburg last season, will link up with team-mate Ja-Cheol Koo as the South Korea international is also on loan at Augsburg.
Augsburg also had Wolfsburg's German youngster Akaki Gogia on loan last season, and he was expected to stay at the club for a second season before manager Markus Weinzierl terminated the deal.
Weinzierl told the club's official website: "Sio adds good squad depth in attacking positions, and we can now replace all our first-team players with good substitutes.
"Sio can play up front and on both wings as well."
