PSV Eindhoven are poised to sign striker Tim Matavz from FC Groningen for around 8million euros (£7.1m).
The 22-year-old Slovenia international will sign a five-year deal at the Philips Stadion subject to passing a medical.
Matavz enjoyed a fruitful season last year when he scored 16 goals in the Eredivisie for Groningen and also represented his country at the 2010 World Cup.
His form last season was rewarded with a contract extension which currently runs until 2013.
Eindhoven's technical director Marcel Brands has ruled out bringing in any more players if a deal for Matavz is concluded.
