Crawley midfielder Josh Simpson was relieved to put his injury "nightmare" behind him on Saturday.

Simpson had been sidelined for six months with a hamstring problem but made his comeback in the 2-0 win over Notts County which eased Town's relegation fears. "I was pleased to be out there and play 60 minutes," he told the club website. "It's been a tough six months, a nightmare of a season. It's been a lonely path, countless hours in the gym, injections, lots of work with the physio. "But luckily for me I'm back now and hopefully I can contribute to the team and keep the club up."
