Gregory proud of Red Devils

John Gregory praised Crawley for the way they have responded to a busy schedule following a 2-1 win over Leyton Orient.

Gregory's side had previously lost six on the trot, but took maximum points for the third successive time thanks to Andy Drury, who rose unchallenged to head home Mike Jones' cross for the winner. A right-footed toe-poke by Chris Dagnall shortly before the interval had cancelled out Gwion Edwards's 26th-minute opener. Former Aston Villa boss Gregory said: "This was our third game in seven days and I'm proud of my boys. "Playing two games in a week has been a monumental ask and I'm so proud of them. "I have 12 players out of contract and they are an incredible bunch to work with. That was very much in evidence." Gregory heaped special praise on central defender Kyle McFadzean, who ensured Crawley maximum points with a vital goal-line clearance to deny David Mooney an equalizer in stoppage time. Gregory said: "Kyle is my John Terry and I am exceptionally proud of him. "Chelsea are the old Chelsea with John Terry standing firm, and in the last 15 minutes Orient couldn't score with Kyle and our defence outstanding." Gregory promises his side will be going "flat out" at Notts County on Monday and let it be known that his men would "not be doing any favours for anyone." He added: "We will be at it on Monday and will be going out to win. "We are good professionals and we will be going about our jobs. "We have kicked on with three wins on the trot but it won't be easy. "There is not a lot of grass on the pitch at Notts County, but we will be going flat out to win."
