Steve Evans is attempting to replace Matt Tubbs before the transfer deadline after the prolific striker completed his move to Bournemouth.

Tubbs, who scored 58 goals in 80 appearances for Crawley, has joined his hometown club for an undisclosed fee which is in excess of £500,000. Evans has had a bid for Burton striker Billy Kee turned down and is being linked with a move for West Ham youngster Frank Nouble. He told the club's official website: "Matt has been sensational for Crawley Town, no other word can describe his time here. "He is a real goalscorer and I am devastated he has been sold but I do not control those decisions. My job will be to replace him and we all know that will be a massive task."
