Keeper could leave on a free in summer

Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are chasing Exeter contract rebel Paul Jones. Jones is out of contract at the end of the season and as yet has failed to agree a new deal at St James Park. Jones started the season as the club's No.1, but he has lost his place in the starting XI in recent weeks because of his contract situation. The highly-rated 24-year-old could leave on a free transfer in the summer or Exeter could decide to sell him for a cut-price fee in January rather than risk losing the shot-stopper for nothing. The news has alerted a number of clubs to Jones' availability with the likes of Doncaster, Barnsley, Peterborough and Colchester all keeping tabs on the player's situation.
