Peterborough midfielder Sergio Torres has returned from his loan spell at Lincoln to recover from injury.

Lincoln loan ended by ankle injury

Peterborough midfielder Sergio Torres has had his loan spell at Lincoln City cut short by injury. The Argentinian was transfer listed by Posh after their promotion to the Championship and subsequently sent to the Imps on loan. The temporary deal was set to be extended until the end of the season but those plans have been scuppered due to ankle ligament damage suffered in November. Lincoln boss Chris Sutton did not rule out a Sincil Bank return for Torres after he had recovered from the injury. "Sergio has returned to Peterborough United to continue his treatment," he told the Imps' official website. "If he's still available when he's fully fit then we'll review the situation."
