Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed he is looking to offload several players following promotion.

Shackell, Potter and Ward all on the transfer list

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed he is looking to offload several players following promotion to the Premier League. The likes of defensive duo Darren Ward and Jason Shackell, along with midfielder Darren Potter, will be allowed to leave Molineux in the summer. The trio are currently out on loan at other Championship clubs and McCarthy is waiting to see if those deals will turn into permanent arrangements. "Darren Ward is on the list, Darren Potter's on the list and Jason Shackell is out at Norwich - people like that will be gone," said McCarthy in the Express & Star. "There will be some others, but they're not for public consumption at the moment. "Sheffield Wednesday would like Potter and I guess Norwich's situation with Shackell will be determined by whether they stay up after the weekend. "As regards Charlton and Darren, it might depend on what they can afford to offer him in League One. "But he'll enjoy it there because it's not far from where he lives, and he's done well for them." Ward and Potter have been on the transfer list since the end of last season, while Shackell only joined Wolves on a three-year deal from Norwich in the opening weeks of this term.
