AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley praised a battling away performance as his side ground out a 0-0 draw at play-off hopefuls Fleetwood.
Fleetwood failed to make the most of their first-half chances with Jon Parkin coming closest to breaking the deadlock having been teed up by Sunderland loanee Mikael Mandron. Both sides were hit hard by injuries before the break with Wimbledon losing Aaron Morris while Fleetwood's Blackpool loanee Bobby Grant was forced off 31 minutes into his debut. The game became increasingly scrappy as both sides looked to shut up shop but there was a late chance for Fleetwood to snatch all three points but Nathan Pond headed wide. But neither goalkeeper was really tested and Wimbledon were the happier to leave with a point. Ardley said: "It was a great point for us. "After the big defeat they had on Tuesday we were afraid of a reaction. "Sometimes after a result like that a team comes out and goes at it. But there was nothing between the teams. "We came here to win the game, we created some good chances. It's a pleasing point, it's another good performance."
