Shots to make Hylton call

Aldershot have confirmed they have until June 8 to appeal the eight-match ban and £1,000 fine handed to striker Danny Hylton.

Hylton was punished earlier this month after a regulatory commission proved two breaches of Football Association rules, both of which took place during the Shots' League Two match against Barnet at Underhill on October 15 2011. Both breaches included abusive and insulting words with a reference to ethnic origin, race and nationality, towards a participant. A statement on Aldershot's official website on Thursday read: "An announcement was made recently confirming that Danny Hylton has received an eight-match ban and a £1,000 fine after a regulatory commision proved two breaches of FA Rule 3 at a Football Association hearing held earlier this month. "As previously advised the club does have a notice of appeal. This is from receipt of the relevant paperwork from the Football Association. We are able to confirm that the expiry of the notice of appeal is midnight on June 8 2012. There will be no further comment from the club regarding this matter at this time."
