No broken bone for Sheringham

Bournemouth striker Charlie Sheringham has not broken a bone in his foot, the club have confirmed.

Sheringham left Griffin Park after the Cherries' 1-1 draw at Brentford on crutches and wearing a protective boot, sparking fears of a break. However, the son of former England international Teddy has suffered no broken bones, but is set to undergo a scan on Friday to determine whether or not he has sustained ligament damage. Sheringham will not feature for Bournemouth in their League One clash with Yeovil on New Year's Eve. Manager Lee Bradbury told the club's official website: "He's had an X-ray and there's no break. He won't be available for the game at Yeovil, he's still on crutches and wearing a protective boot. "I don't think he will be involved in the next couple of games even if there's nothing wrong with his foot because he's struggling to put weight on it."
